The Termite Man's Tips

Flying Termites or Flying Ants?

We receive numerous calls from homeowners requesting a termite inspection. Many homeowners fear the worst and believe that they are seeing flying termites. Before we inspect and take your money we want you to be aware that they could be flying ants.

Flying Ants: Have a wasp waist or hourglass shape.

Flying Termites: Appear to have a head and one body part.

Swarming termites are full grown adults leaving an existing colony to go start at new infestation. The big concern is the existing colony and not the flying termites. As most termite swarmers die from being exposed to the weather and/or elements.

If you are selling, get your inspection done before you accept an offer, so you know what expenses you may have.
